Meant to discover and promote the young talents of the classical music, the George Enescu International Competition will take place between August 29 and September 22 of 2020 in Bucharest, Romania. The competition is organized under the High Patronage of the President of Romania and produced by the Romanian Government through the Ministry of Culture and National Identity. It is a competition for classical violinists, cellists, pianists, and composers, with the first-place winner of each category to receive 15,000 Euro. Honorary President of the jury is Zubin Mehta and among the representative members of the jury are Dmitry Sitkovetsky, David Geringas, Cristina Ortiz, Zygmunt Krauze, Silvia Marcovici, Mihaela Martin, Myung-Wha Chung, Arto Noras, Raphael Wallfisch, Peter Jablonsky, Dan Dediu and others.

The first Vietnam International Music Competition will be held from 3rd to 11th of August 2019, in the Grand Concert Hall of Vietnam National Academy of Music. This will be the first time an international competition for violin and ensemble groups of piano and string instruments is hosted in Vietnam. Many critically acclaimed artists have accepted the invitations to join the jury of the competition, including renowned musicians and professors from leading universities and conservatories in the United States, Russia, Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Ukraine, Australia, South Korea, China, Japan, and Vietnam. With the jury’s dream team, the Competition has attracted talented candidates from all over the world, contributing to a top-class stage where Vietnamese young musicians will have a chance to compete and learn, to gain valuable experiences and be inspired to improve oneself in the process of building their musical careers.
